Oregon3D Inc., The Academy for Digital Arts & Sciences, is offering a four-week Oregon3D combustion 3 Boot Camp, May 12 - 28, 2004. It features a series of three comprehensive courses devoted to Discreets combustion 3, an award-winning motion graphics, vector paint, visual effects and 3D compositing desktop software.
Taught by Gary M. Davis, certified Discreet Training Specialist and author of THE EASY GUIDE TO DISCREET COMBUSTION 3, the courses will cover everything from fundamentals of the combustion interface to advanced compositing, keying, stabilizing and tracking, as well as the powerful 2D/3D pipeline secrets of Oregon3Ds MaxBustion.
Participants have the option of taking the courses independently or collectively, depending on the students desires and needs. The schedule and topics for Oregon3D combustion 3 Boot Camp are as follows:
combustion 3 Fundamentals (May 12-14)This three-day course is designed to put participants at ease with Discreets legendary combustion interface. The primary focus for the course is workflow, and creating projects that utilize its stockpile of features. This is the nuts and bolts that any serious compositor new to combustion needs for survival in the field.
combustion 3 Advanced (May 17-21)This intense five-day session will brief participants on the inner secrets of the Academy Award-winning Discreet Color Corrector and Keyer as well as the integrated paint and particle system. When partakers leave this course, they will be ready for the most intense challenges that their clients will demand of them in the day-to-day battleground of production graphics and visual effects.
Oregon3D's "MaxBustion" (May 24-28)This five-day course is the ultimate integration between Discreets 3ds max 6 and combustion 3. Drill Sergeant Davis will push attendees to the breaking point and expose participants to the synergistic power of Discreet's premier desktop animation tools. Participants will hone and perfect their pipeline; thus becoming an ultimate 2D/3D-animating machine. Why do everything in 3D when combustion can be used to augment projects? Why hand animate in combustion when 3ds max can be used as a motion capture device? By mastering the "Maxbustion" pipeline, partakers will become an unstoppable, animation super power.
Oregon3D combustion 3 Boot Camp will take place from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, at Oregon3Ds training facility, 735 SW 20th Place, Suite 230, Portland, Oregon.
