Paramount Brings Sky Captain & South Park Creators to Comic-Con

Paramount Pictures will be previewing its forthcoming action/adventure, SKY CAPTAIN AND THE WORLD OF TOMORROW, and puppet-starring action spoof TEAM AMERICA WORLD POLICE at the 35th Annual Comic-Con International Convention. Working with convention organizers, the studio will unveil a first look at SKY CAPTAIN presented by the film's star, two-time Academy Award nominee Jude Law, along with co-stars Bai Ling and Giovanni Ribisi, writer/director Kerry Conran and producers Jon Avnet and Marsha Oglesby.

"This is my first time at Comic-Con and I'm excited for sci-fi and comic book fans to have this special first look at SKY CAPTAIN," said Law. "I think this convention is the perfect venue to be presenting a film like this."

Also on hand will be SOUTH PARK creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone as the show off their upcoming film TEAM AMERICA. The over-the-top satire about an international police force dedicated to maintaining global stability was created entirely with marionettes, ala the original THUNDERBIRDS.

Paramount Pictures' presentation will take place on July 24 from 3:00 - 4:30 pm in the convention center's 6,000-seat Hall H. The annual event, which draws comic book and movie fans from around the world, takes place in San Diego from July 22 25.

In addition, special footage and behind-the-scenes glimpses of Paramount's forthcoming titles will include LEMONY SNICKET'S A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS, SUSPECT ZERO and THE SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS MOVIE.
