Phactory Productions And Ultraviolet Merge

New York-based 3D design and animation company Phactory Productions, Inc., has merged with broadcast design studio Ultraviolet to create UV Phactory. The newly formed creative solutions studio offers 2D and 3D design and animation, live-action production and strategic design solutions for advertising agencies and the broadcast and cable communities. The company has already begun work on a host of jobs including projects for Miramax, HBO, TBS and The Sci-Fi Channel. UV Phactory will operate under the management team of Scott Sindorf, Damijan Saccio and Jeff Linnell. Sindorf, whose previous positions include animator at Pixel Liberation Front, head of 3D at Spontaneous Combustion and animator at R/GA, co-founded Phactory Productions in May 2000 with Damijan Saccio. Saccio had been creative director at 3D-visualization house IOMedia and had previously worked as lead animator at Cybersites, a CD-ROM game developer. Jeff Linnell is the co-founder of the Liquid Design Group, which became Ultraviolet, where he was owner/creative director. Rounding out the UV Phactory senior creative team are art director/designer Beat Baudenbacher and senior producer Claire Plaskow, both of whom came from Liquid Design Group and helped to launch Ultraviolet. Earlier in their careers they were with Attik/New York.
