Portfolio announces new acquisition agreements with National Geographic Channel and PlayKids for first season of ‘DOKI,’ and new SVOD deals for ‘The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That!’
TORONTO -- Portfolio Entertainment has announced multiple sales deals from its kids catalogue including DOKI and The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That!
National Geographic Channel has acquired the first season of DOKI (26 X 30’) for its kids block in the Middle East and North Africa, while Studio U7’s Channel Ryzhy in Russia has purchased the first and second season of the series (52 X 30’). DOKI is an animated series that centers around the curious Doki and his friends who travel the world to answer important preschool questions.
Video and entertainment service, PlayKids, has also bought the SVOD rights to DOKI (10 x11’) for the U.K., Ireland, U.S. and Canada. PlayKids has also picked up season one of the celebrated Dr. Seuss-inspired preschool series The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That! (10 x 11’) for its SVOD service in the U.K., Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.
