Veteran FOX spokesperson Scott Grogin has been promoted to svp, corporate communications for the Fox Broadcasting Co., responsible for developing and executing business and tactical communications strategies on behalf of the network as well as serving as primary liaison to the daily trade, financial and business media.
Additionally, he will work closely with Fox Networks Group president/ceo Tony Vinciquerra and Fox Network president Ed Wilson on inter-divisional and affiliate relations initiatives, as well as serve as communications liaison between the broadcast network and various Fox Ent. divisions, including Fox Networks Group, Fox Mobile Ent. and Fox Interactive Marketing.
"Scott has played a key role in the positioning of FOX for more than five years and has, in the process, gained the respect of executives within the network and the journalists who cover it," said Joe Earley, evp, publicity, corporate communications and creative services for FOX, to whom he reports. "This well-deserved promotion is an acknowledgment of his valuable contributions, as well as the expanded corporate communications role he has taken within the Fox Networks Group."
Prior to joining Fox, Grogin was director of publicity and public relations for Universal Studios Recreation Group, responsible for supervising and executing publicity and public relations programs for the companys domestic and international theme park properties.
Previously, he spent several years as a senior publicist at NBC Ent., where he supervised publicity efforts on behalf of the television networks series and longform programming.
Grogin also worked for the entertainment publicity firm Rachel McCallister & Assocs. as a senior publicist in the television department.
