Series from China’s Left Pocket Studio and Spain’s Tomavision SL will be completed by fall of 2017.
Superights has inked a worldwide distribution deal (excluding China and Spain) with Chinese Left Pocket Studio and Spanish Tomavision SL for their gender-neutral preschool series Emmy & Gooroo.
The 52-episode, 11-minute series follows Emmy, a creative and resourceful five-year-old girl, and her best friend Gooroo, a big, furry and huggable creature, in their daily adventures in the magic forest. Their world is full of fabulous beings, such as animals and plants that can talk, dance... and even cook! Every day brings a brand new and exciting challenge for Emmy and Gooroo to seek out and overcome in this inviting and inspiring world.
Emmy & Gooroo won the first prize at the 2014 MIP Junior International Pitch competition, as well as the International Kidscreen East Pitch-it Event. Now in production, the 52 episodes will be completed by fall 2017.
