Teletoon Canada has ordered 13 half-hour episodes of the Atomic Cartoons and Phil Roman Entertainment production ATOMIC BETTY. The series follows Betty, a sweet and brainy girl with only a few friends. But when the galaxy beckons, she sheds her humdrum persona and becomes Atomic Betty, "intergalactic rocket jockey and legendary defender of the universe," zipping across the galaxy on daring and valiant missions. ATOMIC BETTY is a joint venture between producers Ira Levy and Peter Williamson of Breakthrough Films; Fresh Produce partners Kevin Gillis (THE RACCOONS, ROBOCOP: THE SERIES, ECKHART THE SERIES) and Steven Hecht; producers and series creators Trevor Bentley, Rob Davies, Mauro Casalese and Olaf Miller of Atomic Cartoons; and Phil Roman of Phil Roman Entertainment.
So you think selling a show is easy? Martin "Dr. Toon" Goodman goes behind the scenes of Atomic Cartoons to see how much work and time goes into getting a show off the ground.
