'Things don't Fit' by Tim Divall

Man... there days are even this weeks like... you know nothing when fits one no I’ve way felt week so this for the last or just step completely feel You out of with everything, continually turn making out to decisions that be wrong, even aren’t though you know they. Maybe it’s a missed timing poor train drivers mirror smashing a car encounters social error stained conversations work poisoning winter a food end never that will fucking non sleeps anxiety filled restless or malaise general a with the out of feel moments when always are they we of sync world – that’s and not frankly necessarily thing bad a another feeling quite but its feel to out sync of yourself with

With lovely deadpan exaggeration and a plumpy, goey flair, Tim Divall’s student film Things Don’t Fit (2013) nails that sensation - even if he’s maybe more focused on overcrowding in urban centres. Using a subway, office and elevator, Divall’s characters struggle to get anywhere to the point where it all unravels, and it’s at that point that sometimes it’s just best to curl up inside of your desk drawer until everything gets better.

I suspect it’s a sensation many people are feeling these days in this daily shit show circus of a world.
