Simpsons Creator Matt Groening Sued in Domestic Lawsuit

TMZ reports that ‘Simpsons’ creator Matt Groening and his wife are being sued by a former nanny for their treatment of Hispanics.

D’oh! Matt Groening is being sued by a former nanny. According to a report from TMZ on Tuesday, the 61-year-old creator of iconic animated series The Simpsons is having legal action taken against he and his wife for their treatment of Hispanics.

Groening's wife, Agustina Maria Picasso Achaval, is of Argentinian descent, so the claim does seem a little absurd, but the gossip site reports that former nanny Tania Cardona alleges that the couple treated employees “like animals,” which included being worked hard in addition to being harassed over her heritage. Cardona reportedly claims that Groening complained that his son wouldn’t speak “good English” due to all the Hispanics in the house. Another allegation suggests that the cartoonist griped about how “his house looked like a Hispanic community” and he “hated" it.” The former nanny was also discontented with how she and the other employees of Hispanic heritage had to eat at a small table that was situated next to a trash can in the laundry room.

In the suit, Cardona claims to have been wrongfully terminated and reportedly wants millions of dollars in restitution from Groening and his wife. Groening's lawyers claim to not have seen the lawsuit and have yet to comment.

Don’t have a cow, man.
