I just finished updating my website. I've e-mailed the link to some of my friends, but gotten limited feedback. I would like to know how it handles on different browsers and connection speeds. I've already gotten some feedback that tells me I'll have to change a few things.
If anyone can take a look and let me know if certain things don't work with their browser, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks for your time.

Thanks for your time and comments! Hey, I was just wondering Splatman...Doyou have to pay a fee to have an animated gif as your avatar? I really like your avatar and some of the other animated ones I've seen.

...it's been a while since I posted this 'lil avatar, but I believe you just update your profile with an animated gif...probably some sorta size limit, but that's about it!

Wow...that site is really nicely done. I enjoyed your demo reel as well!
Good stuff :D
Loads fairly well even on dialup. Like the layout. Just one thing about your flash you need to apply the "html embed" fix to it. This link will explain how to do it.

Otherwise IE gives everyone a second click to activate. Or if you are using MX2004 I think there is an extension that is available for eporting your html in the new format. But since I am still stuck with MX not sure about that. You can check on the Adobe site for that.
A question about your resume, why present it in doc format, why not post it as html?
Have to add I love the beach background. I know what it takes to pull something like that off.

Nice site Potatos. The layout is nice and clear and fun to look through. My only thing is your demo reel was too long for my taste. I didn't even get through the whole thing. It felt long, then I looked down at the timeline it I was only at 2 1/2 minutes and only about half way through. So I turned it off. It felt like you put everything from your "Flash animation" page into your demo reel.
Demo reels are supposed to showcase your talents. If your best work is only one scene in a 20 scene short, only put in that one shot. I don't want to see all the average work you've done. Hell you don't even have to put an entire shot in. If only three seconds is good, just put that in. Just make sure the action is completed before you cut away.
Cut your entire demo reel down to 2 minutes, start to finish. Do that, and your reel will look 100 times better.
A couple things on your resume... Personally I like reading resumes in the first person. When you say things like, "Wyatt is well versed in the program," it sounds as if your mother wrote your resume. I'm not sure if writing first person is standard, but I personally prefer it that way.
Also unless you are applying to a Flash only studio, in a general resume, I'd leave out a lot of the "Flash" talk and just mention straight animation. You can say "with over three years of animation experience, blaa blaa blaa..." and you'll be fine. When you keep saying, Flash, Flash Flash I'm going to think that's all you can do.
Next, ok, I guess it's three things instead of a couple, is I'd put your most recent jobs at the top. I don't want to know that you severed pop corn at the local movie thearter, I want to know what you did at your last job.
Just me being picky. Good work Potatoes. Any thoughts of moving out to LA or New York?

Thanks for all the comments everyone! I apprecite the suggestions as well. I'm pretty happy with the feedback I'm getting. Of course, you can't please everyone, but I like to try to address any major issues.
I don't have any confidence left that anyone actually reviews on-line work for full-time positions, but it's sure working to get me freelance work.
Best of luck to all in this crazy industry.

Oh yeah, as for the animated avatar, you upload an animated gif as your avatar. There is a size limit, which I can't remember. Up load a big file once and it should tell you what the limit is.
