Animal Drawing - good ref?

Hey there all!

I have been going to the zoo about every other week for a while now, to practice my animal drawing!! (that and drawing my cats!) I already have the Weatherly Guide to Drawing Animals (excellent book!) but I am still having lots of trouble... (or perhaps I am just impatient to improve!)

I was wondering if anyone knew of any good animal references (beside real life, o' course!) like a great book or link to a tutorial. I espcially have issues with the face structures and muzzles of animals. >_< It's like as soon as the face starts to portrude - I mess up.

A friend suggested that I am looking at things in 'parts' instead of as a 'whole' which may be my issue... (like "okay, time to draw the chest. Ok now the neck. Ok now the head. Ok now the muzzle" instead of "let's draw a cat, shall we?")

Any pointers or links are greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance!

Cannot go wrong with Ken Hultgren's book: The Art of Animal Drawing.

Rien Poortvliet wasa master draftsman and I highly recommend his Noah's Ark for a wide variety of animals. He also has a book on horses and farm animals. ... And of course his "Gnomes".

Also recommended:
Walt Stanchfield "Drawn to Life" volume 2 (covers animals)
Actually, both volumes are great.

Here's a neat little book on animal movement:
Tezuka School of Animation, 2: Animals in Motion
