The Television Academy of Arts & Sciences together with the Los Angeles Chapter of ACM SIGGRAPH will present a one night only event titled "Emmy Winning VFX". The presentations will feature the Primetime Emmy-winning visual effects employed in BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, JOHN ADAMS and the main title design of MAD MEN.
Chip Hougton of Imaginary Forces will present the making of the visual effects for the main titles of MAD MEN which garnered them the Emmy in the "Outstanding Main Title" category. Michael Davidson of Battlestar VFX will showcase their work on the BATTLESTAR GALACTICA episode, "He That Believeth In Me," that netted them the Emmy in the "Outstanding Special Visual Effects For A Series" category. Paul Graff of Digital Backlot and Votch Levi of CafeFX will present their respective Emmy winning visual effects on JOHN ADAMS episode "Join Or Die" in the "Outstanding Special Visual Effects In A Mini-Series, Movie Or A Special" category.

This event will be held at the Leonard H. Goldenson Theater, at the Television Academy of Arts & Sciences.

Admittance is free to members of the Visual Effects and Main Titles Peer Groups of the Television Academy of Arts & Sciences as well as members of the Los Angeles Chapter of ACM SIGGRAPH. Non-members may attend and pay a $20 visitor registration fee.
