Gnomon School of Visual Effects and the VES present "Journey of an Indie Filmmaker: Shot-Breakdown Series" with special guest independent filmmaker Sil van der Woerd. Using three of his short films -- DUET, SWIM and WORMS -- as examples, Sil will give an in-depth discussion on the creation of his visual effects and CG magic using film and mixed new media, live-action video and dominant soundtracks to express his fictitious atmospheric worlds. We are honored to have Gnomon Maya Fast Track Alum Sil -- who boasts 1.6 million hits on YouTube -- take us through his journey from student to multiple-award-winning filmmaker and artist.
