From Aug. 16, to Sept. 2, 2007, the Zurab Gallery will be demonstrating the project "Learn to See from pictures in movement to moving images," presenting selections of borderline works at the interfaces between abstract arts and animation, among them one film by the cult artist Len Lye and works by Austrian artists. The festival tends to be with the Austrian bias, since the artist Bady Mink has prepared another program of his compatriots along with his own retrospective.
The cinema "35 mm" will be hosting the "watchable" part of the festival from Aug. 16-19. The set of works of the 2000s is from "Autour de minuit," the French studio distributing animation and media art. The guests of the festival will also have a chance to watch a film by the video star Pipilotti Rist and a sound media performance dedicated to Michelangelo Antonioni.
