Learn How to Sell Your Idea at WIA's Pitch Perfect Workshop WIA Pitch Perfect Workshop
WIA/LA is hosting "Pitch Perfect," a two-part workshop for creative people who want to learn how to package, present and protect their concepts. The morning session will be a panel of artists and executives, people who pitch and who listen to pitches. They will discuss how to find the selling points in your material, how to reduce your story to its essence and tell attendees what the networks are looking for.
In the afternoon, artists will pitch their concepts to a group of experienced executives and artists. The group will evaluate the material and make suggestions for making it more marketable and how to make your presentation more effective. In case there are too many submissions, slots will be decided by lottery. Execs attending include Heather Kenyon of Cartoon Network, Steve Aranguren of Disney TV, Claudia Spinelli of Nickelodeon, Stephanie Graziano of Graz Ent. and Eric Homan of Frederator Studios.
The event will take place at Klasky Csupo, 6353 Sunset Blvd., Hollywood. RSVP is required by May 20, 2004 by calling (310) 535-3838. Attendees can sign up for a single session for $25 or both for $45. Checks can be mailed to: WIA P.O. Box 251, Topanga, California 90290.
