I would like to inform about the Animoweb contest, 3rd edition. One section of the contest is about short animated films made with Flash.

What the contest is about : web interactive animations about an assigned theme with Macromedia Flash or Director Shockwave format files; 3 sections in the contest, 1 for “animated intros”, 1 for “games or highly interactive applications ”, 1 for "short animated films ".
Theme of 2004 Edition: some aspects of women's life, such as work, politics, private life, the relationship between men and women. The protagonists will be real or virtual, famous or imaginary heroines.
Prizes: budget of € 7800 for a total of 12 prizes, audience prize (i.e. decided by Internet voters) included.
Reference site: www.animoweb.it in Italian and English. The site is the “pivot” of the contest. It provides all necessary information on how to participate (regulation, guidelines, application form, faq, ...) how to vote, etc....
All the movies participating in the previous editions concerning tourism and environment are browsable with information about the authors
Deadline: submission deadline-> 31/7/2004. The prize awarding cermony is scheduled for the 30th October.
Related events: production of cd-rom, exhibition on comic-strips female models and web female authors, as well as the second edition of the Flashanimathon with Venturi School of Arts in Modena, a review of animated films, a conference, meetings with aniMOweb 2004 participants and the final prize awarding ceremony with special guests and members of the jury.
International jury: 5 members will be appointed (work in progress).
