I have seen both and they are excellent feature films. "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" (TMNT) is a CGI that is true to its art, story, and acting of past shows. For me that is a good thing. The character look like 3D rendered models of the earlier television series but with a lot more detail in the textures, shades, and colors. The lip sync is a total farce but they are human shaped turtles. To me, it looks as tho they are chewing food.
"Meet The Robinsons" another Pixar production shines with the magic that Pixar gives all of its films. The story is a heart tugger as are all of Pixars films. This film will not surpass the other Pixar titles but I enjoyed it.
So what comments do you have about the TMNT or "Meet The Robinsons"?
This film, believe it or not, was done by Disney Feature Animation, not Pixar.
I'm gonna see it soon. I've heard really good things about it and that it's possibly the best Disney film in a long time.

I'm not that interested in seeing TMNT. TMNT never really interested me... at all.
I actually enjoyed TMNT and am looking forward to seeing Meet the Robinsons.
I didn't know TMNT was going to be CG, I had no interest in seeing it at all. I guess I was thinking it would be like the live action one. So when my son wanted to go, I was pleasantly surprised. He LOVED the bickering brothers (struck a chord with him). I thought the story line was overly complicatd and ended too easily, but the characters looked great, timing was excellent. The two female roles looked exactly alike, as if they just changed hair color and costumes.
When they had a mid-closeup of one of the turtles it looked like he was wearing a boostier. Made me laugh.
I thought it played a lot like a TV show. You didn't really care what was going on; they'd get into a situation/they'd get out of a situation. No real suspense or drama. It looked good, nice pacing, and wasn't too long.
My son liked it better than Happy Feet and Meet the Robinsons.
I just check IMDB and did not see PIXAR listed in the credits but the PIXAR logo was up on the big screen. I am sure it is one of those very complex contract things that got the PIXAR title in the show.
We all saw what Disney did with "Chicken Little", and Disney bought Pixar not because they didn't need them.
Yup, "Meet the Robinsons" was animated at Disney Feature in Burbank and not at PIXAR. Seeing that Disney just bought PIXAR, I guess legally they can put the PIXAR logo on everything Disney puts out.
I'm looking forward to seeing the Turtles. I kind of like they way they kept them stylized. I do wish they could've kept the pizza and "cowabunga dude" type stuff out since the movie has such a dark look to it.
Something about the dancing T-Rex over the logo of the Robinson's trailers that just bugs me for some reason. I might see it this weekend.

"Meet the Robinsons" is probably not for me. What I've seen of it looks way too much like what has become the polished CGI animation standard look of American animated features. Didn't tickle me at all.
Turtles got ripped apart by critics as far as I've heard and read, but hey, just like the old movies. I'll see it for the very fond childhood memories, I guess.
I saw "Robinsons" this weekend and I didn't see the Pixar logo anywhere. I did see a new logo for "Walt Disney Animation Studios" that struck me as a lift of Pixar's logo in concept, if not in execution.
I also saw "Boat Builders" before "Robinsons". What a thrill to see a classic short like that on the big screen. I understand that the 3D theaters are showing "Working For Peanuts", one of Disney's only classic 3D short efforts.
A friend of mine was a lighter on Meet The Robinsons. She said, after the PIXAR/MOUSE merger, Pixar came in with the "iron fist" and changed BUNCHES of things to make Meet The Robinsons better. She was not a fan of all the late nights, but in the end, she felt it was a good thing. [John Lassiter's creative direction]... and all the MANY changes they had to make--were worth it in the end. I hope it's true and look forward to seeing the film.
At the end of the day, the merger made Lassiter creative director over the whole lot, and I'm personally glad to see the strength of Pixar's stories, collaborate with the strength of Disney's animators. Right on. Can't wait to see Ratatouille (Pixar produced for this year) and then Disney's 2D film The Frog Princess in 2009! Hopefully as well, Glen Keane's directing debut with Rapunzel as well. Rock on! In the long-run, hopefully this also means bringing back the mass job market for all my talented 2D animator friends. =]
That's what made them "teenage mutants".

So I finally saw "Meet the Robinsons." It was pretty bad. The over all story arc was good, but it got so muddy with all the extra junk that got thrown in. There was some nice animation on the guy with the bowler hat, but it was so over the top high school drama club, that it got a little hard to watch after a while. The start of the movie moves well, but the middle is so rapid fire, with different story point and characters being thrown at you it's hard to keep track of it all. Then it's over, and you're left wondering what just happened.
***SPOILER***
There is a line in the movie were Wilbur, the black haired kid, tells Lewis, the blond kid, he's his best friend. What?! They are maybe together in the movie for maybe about 15 minutes, under a day in movie time, and now they're best friends? It was really just all over the place. I can only imagine what it was like before Lassetter and team over hauled it.
They are going to need some real help. It's going to be an interesting next couple of years.

I let all those bumps in the story line slide by me trying to see what the blonde kid story was. I wont call it a bad movie but I would not wont to see it again or add it to my movie collection.
I have this feeling in my gut that all of these shows are going to be turning out as television series with the next year.

All of you have to go see "Hot Fuzz".
