Hey everyone! I've been searching online trying to find out info about this vintage Animation Festival t-shirt I found, but have had no success. It says "The Fifth Annual Animation Festival" and also has the headline of "Abandon All Hope Ye Who Enter..." The bottom of the graphic has "Peabody '91" in the corner.
Does anyone know what/where this Animation Festival was? Or who this "Peabody" illustrator is? Thank you in advance for any clues or info! I appreciate it!
Shawn
Most likely it was a very small event or it is just art work. It is possible that there was never an event.
This T-shirt could be ordered anywhere. Now there are many companies that are engaged in printing on clothing. Such a T-shirt could be created following the example of a T-shirt from the festival. I once had a similar situation. My friends went to this festival without me. organizers gave out T-shirts and caps with the festival logo. I really wanted the same T-shirt as them and ordered a print of this festival from one company. In addition to prints on clothing, this company is engaged in prints on phone cases or cups. You can view more.
Thanks for sharing this!
I have experience only with https://www.sartomy.com/ (mostly shirts and pens). Pretty much the same guys! Quality wise I mean. They suprised me with fast shipping every time.
I've seen t-shirts with such a headline somewhere, and I think here matohash.com. Actually, this headline means to abandon all your hope. It is said to have been inscribed at the entrance of hell. The phrase also warns similar to 'proceed with caution, 'stay away,' or 'do not enter. It clarifies the people were entering a hopeless situation or place with no way out or no return. It is from the work of Dante Alighieri, but I have also seen from other literary works or quotes of very famous people. So, if you want to make a perfect gift, I think it is.
Nice design! I'm sorry but I don't know.
