Short film program now online for independent animation festival’s 13th edition running July 28-31 at Rooftop Films and BAMcinématek in New York City.
The full shorts program for Animation Block Party 2016 has been released online! the 13th annual Animation Block Party film festival runs July 28-31 at Rooftop Films and BAMcinématek in New York City.
The entire ABP 2016 lineup is available here. Highlights include the Narrative Works, Studio Shorts, and Local Films showcase with work from NYC locals such as Pete Levin, Wendy Cong Zhao and Alex Cline, and the Student Films and Independent Animators showcase, which includes 18 short films from student and independent animators from around the world.

Animation Block Party Opening Night at Rooftop Films is presented by Arts Brookfield. The ABP 2016 festival begins on Thursday, July 28th at Brookfield Place (formerly the World Financial Center) ground level at 220 Vesey Street, NY, NY, 10281, along the waterfront between West Street and the Hudson River. Animation Block Party continues on Friday, July 29 through Sunday, July 31 at BAMcinématek located at the Peter Sharp Building, 30 Lafayette Avenue in Brooklyn, NY 11217.
Special programs at ABP 2016 include a 30th year anniversary screening of The Transformers: The Movie in 35mm, a screening of the 2001 anime feature Cowboy Bebop: The Movie directed by Shinichirō Watanabe, a NY Animated Ads showcase curated by J.J. Sedelmaier, and a Cartoon Restoration showcase with Jerry Beck and Tommy Stathes.
