UK animation duo Becky&Joe have released a follow-up to their 2011 short film, Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared, the video that taught puppet characters about creativity using glitter, internal organs and a talking notepad.
Selected as part of Dazed magazine’s Visionaries series, Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared 2 - Time introduces Tony the Talking Clock, a lanky character who teaches the puppets of the about the concept of time. It’s weird and wonderful, and, well, watch it, below:
Becky&Joe are Kingston University grads Becky Sloan and Joseph Pelling. Having met while students, the duo started THIS IS IT collective with some friends, which allowed them to work on a variety of projects and hone their talents as animators. In addition to Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared 1 & 2, they've made music videos for Tame Impala and Unknown Mortal Orchestra and designed window displays for Selfridges.
