2017 Cannes showcase features five animated films currently in production, including Czech Republic-German-French co-production ‘Even Mice Belong in Heaven,’ Peru’s ‘Nuna: The Last Myth of the Wamani,’ Brazil’s ‘Nimuendajú’ and ‘Tito and the Birds,’ and Spain’s ‘Memoirs of a Man in Pajamas.’
'Even Mice Belong in Heaven'
As part of its partnership with the Cannes Film Market, the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and Market will be back to participate in the “Goes to Cannes” showcase featuring special previews of work-in-progress footage from five animated feature films currently in production.
Exclusive first looks at footage -- including animated sequences, trailers and artwork -- will be presented to distributors, investors and sales agents attending Cannes in hopes that they’re persuaded to participate in the adventure of these films.
All five projects were spotted during the MIFA Pitch Sessions at the 2016 edition of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and Market. The program includes Czech Republic-German-French co-production Even Mice Belong in Heaven, Peru’s Nuna: The Last Myth of the Wamani, Brazil’s Nimuendajú and Tito and the Birds, and Spain’s Memoirs of a Man in Pajamas.
