Call for Entries: Submit Your Films to the 10th Annual Cyber Sousa Festival

Deadline for free submissions to the Cyber Sousa Xiamen International Animation Festival is September 20.

Festival organizers have issued a call for entries to the 10th annual Cyber Sousa Xiamen International Animation Festival.

The Cyber Sousa Xiamen International Animation Festival in Xiamen City has been successfully held for nine consecutive years and is one of the most famous festivals in China endorsed by ASIFA (Association Internationale du Film d’Animation) with the support of ASIFA-China and the local government.

Cyber Sousa will be held in November 2017, with the exact dates still to be announced. The deadline for submissions is September 20.

The International Competition Categories are Best Animated Short Film, with a prize of 50,000 CNY, and Best Animated Film Series, with two prizes valuing 30,000 CNY each. Prizes will be announced at www.cybersousa.org, and prize winners will be invited to the festival as guests and will enjoy free accommodation.

There are three options for international submissions to the 2017 edition of the Cyber Sousa Xiamen International Animation Festival. All entries are free of charge:

  1. Register on the Cyber Sousa website and email your registration number along with a downloadable link to your film to contact@asifa.cn (link sends e-mail) and yujie.hu@asifa.cn (link sends e-mail).
  2. Submit your film via Click for Festival.
  3. Register on the Cyber Sousa website and mail your registration number, submission form, and DVD of your film to:

The third option is the least reliable, and is not encouraged.

Participating films must have been created or released to the public after January 1, 2015, and, in accord with accord with Chinese laws & regulations and code of ethics, must refrain from containing unlawful contents such as pornography and violence.
