Disney+ announced the September 13 streaming release of Disney and Pixar’s original 3DCG animated comedy, Elemental, which follows fiery Ember Lumen and the go-with-the-flow Wade Ripple as they discover what happens when fire meets water - how much they actually have in common.
Debuting the same day is the “making-of” documentary Good Chemistry: The Story of Elemental and Pixar’s latest animated short, Carl’s Date, featuring the infamous talking dog, Dug.

Directed by Pete Sohn, produced by Denise Ream, and executive produced by Pete Docter, Elemental features a screenplay by John Hoberg & Kat Likkel, and Brenda Hsueh with a story by Sohn, Hoberg & Likkel, and Hsueh. The film’s original score was composed and conducted by Thomas Newman.
The film debuted on all major digital platforms (Apple TV, Prime Video, Vudu, etc.) August 15 and releases on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD September 26.
