Chris Pratt stars as the insufferably indifferent feline who is about to have a wild outdoor adventure; the 3DCG film hits shelves August 27.
Secure the doggy (kitty) door and put away the lasagna, because on August 27, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment drops The Garfield Movie on Blu-Ray and DVD.
Chris Pratt lends his voice to the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat, who has an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father, scruffy street cat Vic voiced by Samuel L. Jackson.
Directed by Mark Dindal, the 3DCG animated film finds the famed cat, Garfield and his canine friend Odie forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist.
The all-star cast also includes Hannah Waddingham, Ving Rhames, Nicholas Hoult, Cecily Strong, Harvey Guillén, Brett Goldstein, and Bowen Yang. John Cohen, Broderick Johnson, Andrew A. Kosove, Steven P. Wegner, Craig Sost, and Namit Malhotra are the film’s producers.
Dindal directs from a screenplay by Paul A. Kaplan & Mark Torgove and David Reynolds. Executive producers include Garfield comic strip creator Jim Davis, Bridget McMeel, David Reynolds, Scott Parish, Carl Rogers, Tom Jacomb, Crosby Clyse, Chris Pflug, Simon Hedges, Louis Koo, Steve Sarowitz, Justin Baldoni, and Peter Luo.
DNEG Animation produces the film’s stellar animation.
