Guru Studio Promotes Amy Robson

Guru Studio announces the appointment of Justin Time Producer Amy Robson to the position of Vice President of Production; executive move comes on the heels of Justin Time’s sixth Annie Award nomination.

Amy RobsonTORONTO -- Guru Studio has announced the appointment of Amy Robson to the position of Vice President of Production. Robson has been Senior Producer of animation for Guru since 2005 and the promotion comes on the heels of Guru Studio’s latest three Annie Award nominations for Justin Time (52 x 11), which was overseen by Robson.

Amy brings a depth of experience and enthusiasm to her new management role as the studio continues its creative growth. Frank Falcone, President and Creative Director of Guru Studio, comments, “Amy has the two skills I most desire in a producer: grace under pressure, and the ability to count!"

Since joining Guru Studio in 2005, Amy has been the senior producer on the studio’s commercials, broadcast design work, TV service work, and both the TV and interactive components of Guru Studio’s original, international preschool hit, Justin Time.

Reporting to President and Creative Director, Frank Falcone, the new role of VP of Production will oversee all current and future productions at the studio, which include high-profile third party series such as Spinmaster’s flagship preschool 3D CGI series for Nickelodeon, Paw Patrol; Mattel’s Ever After High (from the makers of Monster High); the original CGI Treehouse-BBC-Kindle co-production, Dinopaws; and the Emmy Award Nominated and six-time Annie Award nominated original Guru Studio production, Justin Time.

Amy has produced series for Corus/Nelvana, including the Emmy Nominated series The Backyardigans and Guess with Jess. Originally from Canada, Amy began her career in Australia, later moving to London where she produced the visual effects for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Amy is a graduate in Media Studies from the University of Windsor.
