Southeast Asian streamer picks up new season of the popular animated adult comedy, premiering June 21; the OFFICIAL ‘Global Rick and Morty Day’ launches across social media June 20.
WarnerMedia’s streaming service for Southeast Asia, HBO GO, has secured exclusive rights to new episodes of the popular animated comedy Rick and Morty. Season 5 of the Emmy Award-winning series begins streaming on Monday, June 21. Seasons 1-4 of the show are already available on the service.
On June 20, the recently dubbed OFFICIAL “Global Rick and Morty Day,” fans can get behind-the-scenes footage and special surprises across social platforms, kicking off the global premieres of the new season.
To prep for the upcoming, highly anticipated, and sure to be overwhelming day of all things “Rick and Morty,” the team at HBO GO team has curated a Rick and Morty: Family Adventures viewing “rail” on the app. Starting June 14, fans can binge favorite episodes before the Season 5 premiere drops.

From WarnerMedia’s Adult Swim, the half-hour award-winning adult comedy follows a sociopathic genius scientist who drags his inherently timid grandson on insanely dangerous adventures across the universe. Rick Sanchez is living with his daughter Beth’s family and constantly bringing her, his son-in-law Jerry, granddaughter Summer, and grandson Morty into intergalactic escapades.
In the English-language version, Rick and Morty stars Justin Roiland (Solar Opposites), Sarah Chalke (Firefly Lane), Chris Parnell (Saturday Night Live), and Spencer Grammer (Greek). The series is created by Dan Harmon (Community) and Roiland, who also serve as executive producers.
