Barcelona: Imira Entertainment, Spain’s leading production and distribution company specialising in youth programming, has signed a number of programming sales in Asia from its animation slate. The deals boost Imira’s relationships with broadcasters in the region ahead of its attendance at ATF next month.
Mediacorp TV12 has acquired Saari (39X3´) for Singapore, while free TV broadcaster ABC-TV5 has snapped up Imira-produced trio Vitaminix (104X2´), Lola & Virginia (52X12´) and Sandra, The Fairytale Detective (52X13´) for Philippines. In a further deal, Skylife has taken pay TV rights to Sandra, The Fairytale Detective for Korea.
From Imira’s third party slate, Public Television Service Foundation in Taiwan has acquired free TV rights to animated movies Supertramps (1X70´), Christopher Coolumbus (1X70´) and Crab Island (1X70´) with Global TV in Indonesia also picking up Supertramps and Christopher Coolumbus.
Christophe Goldberger, Head of Distribution and Marketing at Imira Entertainment said: “Asia is a key market for our shows and one where we have made significant sales. Sandra, the Fairytale Detective has proven particularly popular in Asia, as it has done in other international markets. We’ll be attending ATF looking to expand our relationships in the region, not only with broadcasters, but with production and licensing companies in the region, as acquiring third party properties for representation in Europe and Latin America is a key focus for us.”
Imira Entertainment will be available at the Spanish Pavilion located at the Hall 403-404, stand 06 at ATF next month. Highlights from Imira’s slate for the event include: Sandra, The Fairytale Detective (52X13´) and new shows The Happets (52X7´) and Saari (39X3´).
