The Incredibles Game Goes 3D Mobile

Verizon Wireless customers who enjoyed THE INCREDIBLES can now dial it up on their phone or favorite wireless device with the release of THE INCREDIBLES 3D mobile game on Verizon Wireless' new V CAST wireless broadband multimedia service.

THE INCREDIBLES 3D is an action-packed game in which players assume the roles of Mr. Incredible and Dash, guiding them through 16 dynamic levels of play using the characters' incredible powers to combat the evil forces and traps of Syndrome. Players help Mr. Incredible dodge and punch his way through obstacle-ridden courses, while Dash relies on his superhuman bursts of speed to outrun his pursuers.

The game features 3D environments, based on the film, which include Nomanisan Island, Lava Caves, Syndrome's Lair on Nomanisan Island and the city streets of Metroville.

"THE INCREDIBLES 3D is a fantastic mobile game with great characters, action and imagery that could only be realized with 3D technologies made possible by wireless broadband," said Larry Shapiro, evp/gm, North American Mobile, the Walt Disney Internet Group. "Verizon Wireless' V CAST is a leap forward in the evolution of wireless entertainment. Consumers are now able to experience enhanced mobile entertainment, and for games, that means dynamic gameplay that was only previously seen on consoles and PCs."

Verizon Wireless claims its V CAST is the first true wireless broadband consumer multimedia service in the country, allowing customers to view crystal clear graphics for 3D games and video clips because it runs on Verizon Wireless' Evolution-Data Optimized (EV-DO) network -- the fastest widely available wide-area wireless broadband network in the U.S.

"We're excited that leading publishers such as Disney Mobile and Pixar Animation Studios are stepping up to the plate to create advanced mobile content that our V CAST multimedia service can deliver to our customers," said Jim Straight, vp of wireless Internet and multimedia for Verizon Wireless. "Wireless content and service offerings are continuing to become more sophisticated and THE INCREDIBLES 3D is a great example of the superior quality of games that phones and services today can deliver."

For $15 monthly access added to their Verizon Wireless calling plan, customers get the V CAST VPak that includes unlimited access to a wide array of more than 300 regularly updated video clips from leading content providers and the access to download certain 3D games. There are no airtime charges to download or stream and watch video clips and other V CAST content. For a limited time, customers who sign up for V CAST will receive two months of service free.

THE INCREDIBLES 3D is available under V CAST Games in the getGAMES shopping aisle of the Get It Now virtual store for $4.99 monthly access or $9.99 for unlimited use purchase. V CAST customers can find THE INCREDIBLES 3D on EV-DO phones from LG Mobile Phones, Samsung and UTStarcom Personal Communications (formerly Audiovox Communications Corp.)
