After David Ayer’s lackluster 2016 effort,’ the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ director has taken it upon himself to reboot the franchise, which will get a trailer ‘in due time.’
Redemption is nearly upon us! After the 2016 fiasco that was David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, James Gunn has taken it upon himself to hit the “redo” button on DC’s important franchise, and it is almost finished! The Guardians of the Galaxy director recently took to Twitter to give us a quick update:
I am a hair’s-breadth from being completely finished. #theSuicideSquad https://t.co/cinQo4qVjD

After the initial reveal, Gunn answered a fan question about a film trailer, stating there will be more content “in due time.”
I know, I know. You want the trailer. Or the teaser. Or more news. Or who the baddie is (they ALL are the baddies but also...) Anyway this will all be with you in due time, I’m working on cool stuff for you, but please be patient! https://t.co/5LdiviegQU

It seems our due time has already happened, but not in the form we may have expected. A recent HBO Max promo short reveals some blink-and-you’ll-miss-it footage from the upcoming DC film. Eagle eye fans claim to see Bloodsport, Polka-Dot Man, Peacemaker, Ratcatcher 2 and Harley Quinn among the featured squad members.
