Lightworks Teams with NVIDIA on Iray+

Lightworks signs a deal with NVIDIA to become the exclusive reseller of Iray+.

Lightworks, the world's leading supplier of rendering solutions announced their exclusive reseller agreement with NVIDIA and release of their new solution Iray+.

Lightworks' established history of providing bespoke software integration services for rendering technology combined with NVIDIA's high quality Iray rendering solution is truly synergistic.  Lightworks' exclusive reseller relationship with NVIDIA broadens the accessibility of Iray to companies worldwide who will be able to integrate NVIDIA's Iray technology within their current design and visualisation workflows easier than ever with Lightworks Iray+.

Iray+ is a new rendering solution from Lightworks that builds upon and presents NVIDIA's exceptional Iray rendering technology in a new, intuitive way designed to bring highly accurate visualisation to the masses. The bespoke Lightworks' layer in Iray+ enables the power of NVIDIA's physically-based, interactive, photorealistic rendering within an intuitive workflow. An innovative approach to the creation and editing of complex layered materials, coupled with an extensive material library and fast track interfaces, allows for a focus on workflows and image quality rather than implementation; Lightworks' layer in Iray+ enables simple integration into existing workflows, with no need for expert developers and therefore shorter time of Iray adoption, benefiting companies of all size and types requiring high-end visualisation within the design and simulation industries.

Dave Forrester, Chief Executive Office at Lightworks commented; "Our new product launch, and relationship with NVIDIA, uniquely positions us to bring the power of Iray in an easy to use format to 3D designers and engineers. I feel this is a pairing set to shake up visualisation in the CAD industry, with NVIDIA's exceptional Iray rendering technology combined with Lightworks industry leading expertise in bringing high end visualisation to the masses. We're excited to be exclusive resellers of Iray and are perfectly placed to deliver further releases, including cloud and grid based solutions with Iray+ in the near future.''

Bob Mayer, Chief Operating Officer of IMSI/Design and long time customer of Lightworks' products added; "The introduction of the Iray+ technology alongside the existing Lightworks' products is an exciting development that will provide additional visualisation technology to our users; we're looking forward to seeing what products Lightworks develops with this new GPU-focused ray-tracing technology.”

"We are very pleased to be working closely with Lightworks to greatly broaden Iray adoption,” said Phillip Miller, director of NVIDIA Advanced Rendering. "Lightworks has a superb reputation for servicing companies and products of all sizes and types, and we're confident their Iray+ solution will make Iray all the easier for products to adopt and for people to use.”

Lightworks is extremely excited to announce this new relationship with NVIDIA and are looking forward to working together to bring Iray+ to the design industries. Lightworks will be announcing and exhibiting Iray+ technology alongside NVIDIA, at SIGGRAPH, 'The 40th International Conference and Exhibition on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques', held in Anaheim from 23-25 July 2013. If you are attending please visit Stand 154 to see Iray+ in action and discuss this exciting new chapter for Lightworks with a member of our team.
