LOOK: DreamWorks Animation Releases ‘Kung Fu Panda 3’ Concept Art

‘Kung Fu Panda 3’ concept art reveals the hidden panda village as seen at the end of the 2011 movie.

DreamWorks Animation has unveiled a peek at some of the concept art for the highly-anticipated Kung Fu Panda 3, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly.

In a bid to create an immersive experience for audiences, the painterly artwork revealing the hidden panda village as seen at the end of the 2011 movie has a theatrical and hyper-realistic aesthetic. “Every single moment is about making that place as beautiful as possible,” co-director Yuh says to EW.

“We try to experience this through Po’s eyes, so we want to make it really special for him,” adds production designer Raymond Zibach. “The fact that he comes back to other pandas and is going to learn their way of life was kind of magical to him because he thought none of this ever existed.”

Written by Jonathan Abel and Glenn Berger, Kung Fu Panda 3 features the voices of Jack Black as Po, Rebel Wilson as Mei Mei, Angelina Jolie as Tigress, Jackie Chan as Monkey, Seth Rogen as Mantis, David Cross as Crane and Lucy Liu as Viper, with Dustin Hoffman reprising his role as Warrior trainer Master Shifu. James Hong and Randall Duk Kim also star.

Here’s the synopsis:

In 2016, one of the most successful animated franchises in the world returns with its biggest comedy adventure yet, KUNG FU PANDA 3.
