Relativity Media and animation house Reel FX have released new images from the forthcoming CG-animated feature, Free Birds.
Directed by Jimmy Hayward (Horton Hears A Who!), Free Birds is jointly produced and financed by Relativity and Reel FX and is set for wide theatrical release in 2D and 3D on November 1, 2013.
The Thanksgiving-themed movie features the voice talents of Owen Wilson, Woody Harrelson, Amy Poehler, Lesley Nicol, George Takei, Dan Fogler and Keith David, as well as Hispanic radio personality Eddie “Piolin” Sotelo, drummer for the world-renowned rock band Tool Danny Carey, and Australian actor Josh Lawson.
In this hilarious, adventurous buddy comedy for audiences of all ages, two turkeys from opposite sides of the tracks must put aside their differences and team up to travel back in time to change the course of history - and get turkey off the holiday menu for good.
Producing are Scott Mosier (Clerks), Craig Mazin (The Hangover Part II), John Strauss (The Santa Claus 2) and David l. Stern (Hotel Transylvania). The screenplay was written by Stern and Strauss, with a rewrite by Mazin.
