Animators in LATAM can submit short form series until April 28th.
MÉXICO CITY -- After a very successful first animation contest in 2016, leading LATAM animation studio Ánima Estudios has teamed up with Cartoon Network Latin America to launch a second call for entries called “Cortos.”
This year’s call will be for Short Format Series (episodes up to 3 minutes.) The call for entries is already open and will run until April 28th. Content must be aligned with Cartoon Network’s focus on humor and comedy and participants must present original and innovative ideas aimed for children 7 to 12.
Projects will be selected based on their concept, design, story, characters and technique. First place winners will be revealed on June 5th and will be rewarded with the production of one of its episodes by Ánima Estudios and the opportunity to have them featured on Cartoon Network Latin America’s platforms.
“We’re proud and happy to continue our efforts supporting animators in Latin America showcase their talents through this initiative; more so with Cartoon Network as our partner,” commented José C. García de Letona, Anima’s COO.

In order to enter, participants can visit Anima Estudios’ website www.animaestudios.com to complete the online submission form and upload their projects.
Animators from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic and Uruguay can participate in the contest.
