Red Bank International Film Festival 2006Red Bank, New Jersey, USAOctober 13-15, 2006Deadline: June 1, 2006
Red Bank - The Jersey Shore town that local filmmaker Kevin Smith made famous is set to host the 6th Annual Red Bank International Film Festival. With one of its main sites being the historic Count Basie Theatre a venue with more than 1,000 seats, a brand new state of the art sound system, and an enormous screen the festival is a showcase for any film.
With dozens of bars, restaurants, record stores, studios, galleries, boutiques and other shops all within walking distance, riverside Red Bank has become one of New Jerseys most desired destinations and an arts mecca, with day trippers from all over, including nearby New York City.
Presented by the Freedom Film Society, the programming for RBIFF 2006 will, as in past years, hail from around the world and include a diverse spectrum of genres and themes.
Previous festivals have included works from such contemporaries as Bill Plympton, Signe Baumane and Don Hertzfeldt.
