Release Date Pushed for ‘Transformers One’ Animated Feature

The Paramount Animation, Hasbro, and eOne collaboration that follows the story behind Optimus Prime and Megatron’s rivalry will now premiere September 13, 2024.

Oh my AllSpark! Paramount has pushed the release date of the upcoming animated feature Transformers One from July 19, 2024 to September 13, 2024 for undisclosed reasons.

The project is a collaboration between Paramount Animation, Hasbro, and eOne. Josh Cooley directs from a script penned by Andrew Barrer, Gabriel Ferrari, Steve Desmond and Michael Sherman. The film serves as an origin story set on Cybertron, home to the Autobots and the Decepticons, and focuses on the origin of Optimus Prime and Megatron’s rivalry. Transformers One will be the first animated film in the franchise since 1986’s The Transformers: The Movie.

Transformers One stars Chris Hemsworth as young Optimus Prime; Brian Tyree Henry as young Megatron; Scarlett Johansson as Elita; Keegan-Michael Key as Bumblebee; Jon Hamm as Sentinel Prime; and Laurence Fishburne as Alpha Trion.

Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Tom DeSanto, Don Murphy, Michael Bay, Mark Vahradian and Aaron Dem produce, while Steven Spielberg, Brian Goldner, Brian Oliver, Bradley J. Fischer and Valerii An executive produce.

Transformers One rolls out into theaters September 13, 2024.
