SOUTH PARK: THE COMPLETE SIXTH SEASON DVD arrives in stores across the U.S. Oct. 11, 2005, and will also be available at http://shop.comedycentral.com. The three-disc box set, Released via Comedy Central Home Ent. and Paramount Home Ent., features all 17 episodes of the sixth season, as well as bonus material containing five-to-seven minute mini-commentaries by creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
Memorable, twisted episodes include: "The Simpsons Already Did It" -- Parker and Stone pay homage to the groundbreaking animated series, THE SIMPSONS; "The Return Of The Lord Of The Rings To The Two Towers" infused with the spirit of Gandalf and Frodo, the boys set out to return their copy of the THE LORD OF THE RINGS movie to their local video store only to have everyone in town after them; and "Red Sleigh Down" with the help of Santa, Mr. Hankey and Jesus, Cartman attempts to bring the Christmas spirit to the downtrodden citizens of Iraq.
Launched in 1997, SOUTH PARK is based on the animated short, THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS. Also, Stan, Kyle, and Cartman try to cope with Kenny's death. Butters goes mental and turns into Professor Chaos.
Parker and Stone are co-creators/exec producers of the Emmy Award-winning SOUTH PARK, with Anne Garefino also serving as exec producer.
