Spike Lee Takes On Nagasaki Deadline

Spike Lee is in final talks to direct the thriller NAGASAKI DEADLINE, reports Deadline.com.

Spike Lee is in final talks to direct the thriller NAGASAKI DEADLINE, reports Deadline.com. The film follows an FBI agent who races to stop to two terrorist attacks planned to go off in America at the same time.

Alcon Ent.'s Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson and Lightstorm Ent.’s James Cameron, Jon Landau and Rae Sanchini, and 8:38 Productions’ Kira Davis are the producers.

Alcon has a distribution deal with Warner Bros.

David and Peter Griffiths penned the original screenplay. At first the project was set up at Fox, but 9/11 put the breaks on the terrorist-themed thriller. Alcon picked up the script and hired William Broyles (CAST AWAY) to rewrite it. Martin Campbell had been set to helm, but chose GREEN LANTERN instead. David and Peter Griffiths are now back doing a final draft of the script.
