NEW YORK -- The tenth annual Animation Block Party is now open for festival submissions.
Some call it punk rock, some call it grass roots, but labels aside – NYC-based Animation Block Party is the premier animation festival on the East Coast. ABP is dedicated to exhibiting all genres of the world's best independent, professional and student animation.Since the first official ABP film festival on September 9th, 2004, thousands of filmmakers have submitted their animated shorts and screened them at the yearly festival.
Only in Brooklyn, NY, ABP 2013 will run July 25-28 at the Music Hall of Williamsburg, Rooftop Films and BAMcinématek.

Winners from the 2012 festival include Swarming by Finland’s Joni Mannisto, which won Best in Show, and Re-collection by Australia’s Nicholas Kallincos, which took home the award for Original Design.
