Ahead of the film’s August 2 release, Paramount and Nick announce more ‘TMNT’ is in the works.
Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies have begun development on a sequel to the upcoming 3DCG animated feature, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, with director Jeff Rowe again at the helm and Point Grey producing. Also, now in development for Paramount+ is an all-new TV series, Tales of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, produced by Point Grey; Chris Yost (Secret Headquarters, The Mandalorian, Thor: Ragnorok) and Alan Wan (Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles [2012 Series]) are set as executive producers and showrunners. Lukas Williams oversees both projects for Point Grey.
Tales of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be animated in 2D animated, with two seasons currently planned. The story takes place between the events of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem and its coming sequel.

Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr., Nicolas Cantu, and Brady Noon reprise their film roles in the series as the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Leo, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey - who meet new challenges going it alone for the first time. Faced with new threats and teaming up with old allies, the Turtles will discover who they really are when they don’t have their brothers at their sides.
In the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, after years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts. Their new friend April O’Neil helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is presented by Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies and is a Point Grey Production. The film is directed by Rowe, co-directed by Kyler Spears; screenplay by Rogen & Goldberg & Rowe and Dan Hernandez & Benji Samit; story by Brendan O’Brien and Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg & Jeff Rowe. The film is based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters created by Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman. Producers are Rogen, p.g.a., Goldberg, p.g.a., and James Weaver, p.g.a.; executive producers are Ramsay McBean and Josh Fagen.
The film stars Micah Abbey; Shamon Brown Jr.; Hannibal Buress; Rose Byrne; Nicolas Cantu; John Cena; Jackie Chan; Ice Cube; Natasia Demetriou; Ayo Edebiri; Giancarlo Esposito; Post Malone; Brady Noon; Seth Rogen; Paul Rudd; and Maya Rudolph.
