Warner Bros. Drops Trailer for ‘Dune: Part Two’

Following an exclusive release at CinemaCon 2023 last week, everyone can now watch the intense first look at Denis Villeneuve’s highly awaited ‘Dune’ sequel, which includes a glimpse of Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, premiering in theaters November 3.

It’s finally here! A teaser trailer for the highly anticipated Dune: Part Two was unveiled exclusively during CinemaCon 2023 last week, and now Warner Bros. has dropped the trailer for general audiences.

Denis Villeneuve’s still-unfolding sci-fi saga continues with the next chapter of Frank Herbert’s celebrated novel Dune, with an expanded all-star international ensemble cast. The film, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, is the highly anticipated follow-up to 2021’s six-time Academy Award-winning Dune.

Dune: Part Two stars returning cast members Timothée Chalamet (WonkaCall Me by Your Name); Zendaya (Spider-Man: No Way HomeEuphoria); Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning); Javier Bardem (No Country for Old MenBeing the Ricardos); Josh Brolin (Glass Onion: A Knives Out MysteryArmy of the Dead); Stellan Skarsgård (Avengers: Age of Ultron); Dave Bautista (Guardians of the GalaxyThor: Love and Thunder); Charlotte Rampling (45 YearsAssassin’s Creed); and Stephen McKinley Henderson (FencesLady Bird). New additions to the existing ensemble include Austin Butler (ElvisOnce Upon A Time…In Hollywood) as Feyd Rautha; Christopher Walken (The Deer HunterHairspray) as the Emperor; Florence Pugh (Black WidowLittle Women); Léa Seydoux (James Bond franchise, Crimes of the Future); and Souheila Yacoub (No Man’s Land series, Climax). 

Per Legendary Entertainment, the film “will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.”

Villeneuve directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jon Spaihts. Villeneuve further serves as producer, alongside Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Tanya Lapointe, and Patrick McCormick. Josh Grode, Herbert W. Gains, Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, Kim Herbert, Thomas Tull, Jon Spaihts, Richard P. Rubinstein, and John Harrison serve as executive producers. Kevin J. Anderson is also on board the production as creative consultant.

Greig Fraser (LionZero Dark ThirtyRogue One: A Star Wars Story), who won the Oscar for Best Cinematography for his work on Villeneuve’s first Dune film, is reuniting with the director to shoot Part Two. Also joining is costume designer Jacqueline West (The RevenantThe Curious Case of Benjamin ButtonQuills); makeup, hair, and prosthetic designer Donald Mowat (Blade Runner 2049); composer Hans Zimmer (Blade Runner 2049InceptionGladiatorThe Lion King); production designer Patrice Vermette (Arrival, SicarioThe Young Victoria); Joe Walker (Blade Runner 2049Arrival12 Years a Slave).

Paul Lambert (First ManBlade Runner 2049) serves as visual effects supervisor on the film, and Gerd Nefzer (Blade Runner 2049) is on board as its special effects supervisor.
