Zodiak Kids Secures Rights for 'Horrid Henry'

Zodiak Kids has inked a new distribution deal with Novel Entertainment for the hit animated children’s TV series “Horrid Henry.”

Zodiak Kids has inked a new distribution deal with Novel Entertainment for the hit animated children’s TV series Horrid Henry.

The Horrid Henry television series is based on the characters in the best-selling children’s books created by Francesca Simon and illustrated by award-winning author/illustrator Tony Ross.  Novel Entertainment has produced three series of the 2D animated television show for ITV1 and CITV in the UK bringing the total number of episodes to 156, making Horrid Henry one of the biggest animated children’s shows ever produced in the UK.  Launching in 2006, the property swiftly became CITV’s most popular show ever and the latest series of 52 x 11’ episodes is currently airing.

The property is broadcast around the world and has been bought by networks in France, Germany, Eire, Singapore, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, South Africa, Portugal, Poland, Korea, Turkey and across the Pacific and Australasia.  Zodiak Kids has been assigned all international TV and DVD distribution rights across all three series and has secured international broadcast rights for future series. Zodiak Kids will be announcing international TV sales of the brand new series (series 3) for the property in due course.
