Students at the Incubatorul de Animatie Summer School created a music video for the Norwegian electropop singer Ida Stein. Her latest song, The River, premiered on YouTube at 7 pm (Norwegian time) on Saturday, May 4, 2024.

Incubatorul de Animatie (The Animation Incubator) is the largest community dedicated to non-formal education in animation, digital art, and technology for young creatives from Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

In 2023 the new workshop-camp was launched in a remote village in the Transylvanian countryside. Fifty hours of studio-style training was provided for ten members of the community by three professionals in the field of animation.

The high school students created and animated the music video under the guidance of Laura Pop, Dave King, and Anna Florea who are accomplished animators and animation directors.

Ida Stein is a Norwegian singer, songwriter, DJ, and producer. As well as releasing her own albums, she participated in the Melodi Grand-Prix 2014, the Norwegian selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, and her music has been featured in the Netflix series El Club.

The video has already been selected for screening at two festivals, VAFI & RAFI Festival in Varazdin, Croatia and The Anchor Film Festival in Los Angeles.

Incubatorul de Animatie (The Animation Incubator) is a project powered by Animest Bucharest International Film Festival and financed with the support of SEE Grants 2014-2021 within the RO-CULTURE program.
