This is more of a vent posting about the broadcasting industry. Personally I am getting tired of three things about the broadcast industry. First is the scheduling of a currently runnning series. They, whomever they are, move shows around far too much. I have to keep a close eye on shows I wont to watch, just to make sure I don't miss them. A show will be on at 4pm then it is moved to 4am.
Another issue I have with them is the showing of new epsiodes, I like to watch new epsiodes but I can never be sure when they are going to show. Yes they do post their schedule just to show that new epsiodes are now on at a new time and date. Major shows are never treated like this, new epsiodes of "Stargate SG1" will be on Friday and that is every Friday no matter what.
My last issue is with the number of epsiodes that are being produced, thirteen. For me this is a big issue, thirteen epsiodes, so what happen to the twentysix epsiode series. Thirteen half hour shows that will be reran, into the ground, over the next 39 weeks.
I block out a part of my day for television and I would like for that time to be filled with entertaining media. It looks like my view time is shrinking to the point where my television will rarely be on. Guess maybe I should be looking into multiplayer highspeed internet games. YAWN
Hope this did not bore anyone too much.
You sound like the type of person who needs Tivo.
A lifetime membership is just $300.
You're distressed because you aren't watching as much television as you used to?
I would consider myself lucky.
You could always do what my mom did, and scream into an envelope and mail it to them. :D
All shows have those icons and the ones on the cartoons are big and black. I hate them.
The Tivo is a good idea, I have been think along those lines. I really have to watch the budget and the waist line.
omg those stupid logos are SOOO annoying. TBS and CBS are like some of the few stations who keep it small and very transparent.
I especially hate when they ADVERTISE their own shows while your WATCHING their channel already.
now on tons of channels they are big and animated and huge. one time on cartoon network a huge snail crawled on the screen, and the idiot tv station messed up and it was STUCK there for freakin 5 minutes looping an idiotic and POINTLESS animation of it looking up at the screen....i was soo pissed.
But, yah....TV stations suck. All around they are just complete garbage. I seriously believe that i, with no experience (only that of being a television viewer for my whole life) could do a better job running the scheduling and what shows air than Fox and even Cartoonnetwork.
A lot of the basic cable stations like TBS arent that bad though.

I should have put this into my previous post, those icons are there to stop pirating of broadcast shows. That still does not excuse how badly they are being used by the boradcast industry.
why is cartoon network showing Dumb and Dumber on FRIDAY!!.. when that movie is aired zillions of times on TBS?!!!
Where are the cartoons.....Show me cartoon reruns...
I read somewhere that Cartoon Network soon will have live action talk shows as well. I think I speak for every cable subscriber when I type the initials "WTF?"
Order my book Jesus Needs Help on Amazon or download on Kindle.

Is NBC the parent company to Cartoon Network? If it is then that means Disney is calling the shots or maybe the WB. This makes like the third live action movie to be shown on the cartoon network. It looks like there is too much programing time slots to fill with too little product. Maybe they just wont to fill the time with stuff that cost zero dollars to run but they can charge for the advertising space.
Last week, insead watching "Princess Mononoke" off a snowy satellite signal I put my DVD copy of the movie on. :D
Cartoon Network is part of the Time/Warner family.

...we must all face a choice, between what is right... and what is easy."
they should've kept space ghost coast to coast..
I don't understand the cable package where they have the Boomerrang channel with some other tier, not the disney or "kids" tier either,
Well at least is was on the right continent. :D
Does anyone know of a really good, and free, industry website. Something that talks about the behind the scenes stuff. I found one for NBC, which is
