Thank you so much for the feedback! It is very helpful. :)
The basics are there Hannah, but there are a few things you can improve on as well as a few that you got wrong.
The wrong ones first. First off the ball moves faster the farther it moves away from the guy's foot. This doesn't happen. Once the ball leaves the foot, all the driving energy is gone. This energy comes from the foot. So the ball should be moving fastest right as it leaves the foot. As soon as the force is gone, wind resistance acts upon the ball slowing it down. Sorry, a bit long, but I want to explain what's going on so you can apply this to other things farther down the road.
Next is the speed of the leg swing. Unless he mis-judged the ground, like a kid or someone uncoordinated, and kicks the ground right before the ball, the fastest point of the leg swing should be just past the point of contact with the ball. The ball is a light playground ball, or something similar, and will not slow down the leg swing very much. So from the anticipation pose, the leg will quickly build up speed, reach it's fastest point just past the contact of the ball, then slow down as soon as the ball leaves his foot.
The things you can improve are his weight shift, torso rotation and curve, and hip rotation.
His weight still isn't far enough over his pant foot. You can push this more. Also what will help sell this is to curve his torso so it looks more like this ) rather that if being so straight. It's also going to curve forward as well as twist. By this, I mean HIS right hip rotates backwards while his upper torso counters this action by having his right shoulder rotate foward.
Also you can add overlapping action which is not present. To make the leg move forward, other body parts are going to move first. The shoulder/ribcage is going to rotate first. Just after that, his right hips is going to start rotating forward. This will then pull the leg and foot forward in a whipping action.
Keep moving along and you'll keep improving.
