Allegorithmic Opens New Office in Seoul, South Korea

Allegorithmic is opening a new subsidiary office in Seoul, South Korea, called Allegorithmic Korea.

A South Korean presence will extend the company's business into Asian markets and allow them to provide dedicated support on Substance and ProFX, Allegorithmic's technology solutions for Korea's fast-growing sector of online, casual and Free2Play games. Allegorithmic's South Korean office will be led and operated by Christian Taewon Kim.

"Korean developers are paving the way for the next generation of online games," said Dr. Sebastien Deguy, founder and CEO of Allegorithmic. "Adopting the right technologies is a key success factor for sustainable growth. Both Substance and ProFX are a perfect fit to Korean game developers that need to control the size of their game client and unleash massive user generated content."

Substance and ProFX are middleware solutions for the development and distribution of online/downloadable games such as Free2Play, MMOs and XBLA/PSN. In addition to dramatically reducing the size of downloadable applications, these technologies also give developers and end users the ability to customize in-game assets through a simplified user interface.
