Trailer released for the 3DCG animated kids’ series that follows 2 intrepid young zoologists who explore a newly discovered Island with the help of its inhabitants, the fantastical creatures named Animixies.
International kids’ entertainment distributor, Bejuba! Entertainment has acquired worldwide distribution rights for the new 3DCG animated comedy adventure series Animixies (52 x 11-minute) that targets kids ages 4-7. The distributor struck the deal at Annecy 2024.
Industry veterans Mike Blum (Pipsqueak Animation, Disney Feature Animation) and Jeff Prezenkowski (Cartoon Network, Hasbro Studios, Warner Bros. Animation) created the series and Blum’s Los Angeles-based studio Pipsqueak Animation produces. Blum and Prezenkowski serve as executive producers alongside Bejuba! Entertainment’s Tatiana Kober. Citris Ink Studios serves as an animation partner.
Bejuba! previously acquired the rights to Pipsqueak' kids' comedy Grounded last year.
Animixies follows the adventures of young zoologists, Rohan and Mia, who explore the newly discovered Miximo Island, home to the fantastical Animixies. These animals can reassemble and change into all kinds of different creatures. Together, with Rohan and Mia, they explore the island to help solve the island’s mysteries and help its inhabitants.
The animated series promises adorable creatures, vibrant settings, action-packed adventures, and relatable themes for kids, like problem-solving, overcoming challenges, and developing patience.
"The concept for the show was so captivating, we were ready to commit based solely on a brief pitch," said Kober. "We're thrilled to unveil Animixies and its trailer to a global audience, and we look forward to collaborating with the talented Pipsqueak Animation team. We adore the show's optimistic and resourceful heroes, the hilarious 'villain' who the heroes always befriend, and of course, the show's core concept – adorable creatures that combine to form powerful companions for their human friends! We're confident that this original and phenomenal idea will resonate with children and families worldwide."
