Call for Entries: SIGGRAPH 2021 Computer Animation Festival Electronic Theater

Premier CG conference is looking for innovative works in computer graphics-based storytelling for its second-ever virtual Electronic Theater showcase; the submission deadline is March 23.

SIGGRAPH 2021 is now accepting submissions to its second-ever virtual Computer Animation Festival Electronic Theater showcase. In its 48th year, the Electronic Theater is once again seeking groundbreaking, innovative, and unique approaches to computer graphics-based storytelling.

“I am so excited to be leading the Electronic Theater for SIGGRAPH 2021,” shared SIGGRAPH 2021 Electronic Theater Director Mark Elendt of SideFX. “To all creators: No idea or approach is too ‘out there’ for this festival — if you’ve used CG to tell a story, we want to see it… all of it.”

Since 1999, the SIGGRAPH Computer Animation Festival has been recognized as a qualifying festival by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Originating as an annual showcase of advances in computer graphics, the festival now celebrates the rise of computer graphics as a medium for storytelling in animation, visual effects, games, technical visualization, and more.

The deadline for submissions is March 23 at 22:00 UTC/GMT.

Additional information regarding submission is available here.
