Cuppa Coffee Brands Gospel Music Network

Cuppa Coffee helped Gospel Music Channel viewers get into the holiday spirit with a new set of Christmas-themed branding elements for the recently launched network, marking the most recent installment in the studio's most expansive broadcast design package to date.

A choreographed camera move leads the viewer through an iconic Christmas scene, ending on the Gospel Music Channel logo end-tag surrounded by traditional Christmas icons. The spots combine real objects shot by camera with added graphic embellishments to invoke a strong tactile feel with depth and dimension to the layers. Rich tonal treatments and textures combine with layers of light and iconic imagery for a striking look. The stop-motion elements were assembled in After Effects. The spots deliver traditional Christmas carols reinterpreted to reflect the Gospel flavor of the channel.

Our inspiration for the bumpers came from Gospel Music Channels desire to wish their viewers a traditional and spiritual Merry Christmas rather than a generic and consumer Happy Holidays, said Cuppa Coffee exec producer Lisa Hemeon. The spots feature symbols, such as stars, angels, trees, ornaments, lights and fabrics that reflect the traditions rooted in a spiritual Christmas. These elements are designed to create an animated representation of the Classic Christmas experience, while remaining consistent with the aesthetic established by Cuppa Coffee for the network launch.
