France’s ‘Chase Me’ Tops Computer Animation Festival at SIGGRAPH Asia 2015

Jury Prize is awarded to South Korea’s ‘Afternoon Class’; award for Best Student Project goes to Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg short ‘Natural Attraction.’

Winners of the Computer Animation Festival at this year’s edition of SIGGRAPH Asia have been Unveiled. Taking place November 2-5 at the Kobe Convention Centre in Kobe, Japan, SIGGRAPH Asia 2015 is set to draw more than 7,000 participants from more than 50 countries.

The SIGGRAPH Asia Computer Animation Festival is Asia’s premier computer animation festival which showcases a world-wide collection of the year’s best works. An internationally recognized jury receives hundreds of submissions and presents the most creative works of the year in daily Animation Theater and Electronic Theater screenings. Selections include outstanding achievements in time-based art, scientific visualization, visual effects, real-time graphics, and narrative shorts.

The Best in Show award was given to France’s Chase Me, directed and produced by Gilles-Alexandre Deschaud. The Jury Prize was awarded to South Korea’s Afternoon Class, directed and produced by OH Seoro, and the prize for Best Student Project went to Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg short Natural Attraction, directed by Marc Zimmermann and produced by Pablo Almeida.
