Gibran's Prophet Getting Animated in 3-D

Steve Hanson's Hanson Inc. has licensed the film rights to Kahlil Gibran's famed 1923 collection of poetic essays, THE PROPHET, reports VARIETY.

Steve Hanson's Hanson Inc. has licensed the film rights to Kahlil Gibran's famed 1923 collection of poetic essays, THE PROPHET, reports VARIETY. The company plans to turn it into a 3-D animated feature.

Clark Peterson and Ron Senkowski are the producers with Hanson and William Nix exec producing.

Each of the 26 essays will be done in a different animation style from animators from around the globe.

Producers hope to start production by the end of summer and complete the film toward the end of next year.

The book is made up of sermons from a wise man that is traveling home.
